Time Will Stay
By Jessica Schoenberg
Stepping out and chasing down a smile
Chasing down a mile that's endless to see
Where all the footsteps washed away
Are a sign that there's a better day
Where it's better to be
And looking back to learn a thing or two
To learn that putting things away should never do
And wishing just to let them go, to carry on
One blink of an eye so they would go
Time will stay, especially with me
Time will stay, time will stay here with me
The strongest things will always know to fight
And then repair themselves when everything is done wrong
And all that's real the looking glass reveals
Staring back at something new, something gone
Time will stay, especially with me
Time will stay, time will stay here with me
Constantly is tiresome when all there is
Is knowing you need guidance to see
And constantly is always right beside
It's all around, it's running dry, running free
Time will stay, especially with me
Time will stay, time will stay here with me
It doesn't give up especially on me
Time will stay, time will stay here with me
